Modesty In Spas

May 8th, 2008 by admin

Modern day tensions at home and the work place make everyone tense, tired and irritable. With the shortage of time, seldom will there be time for pampering and relaxing. This is the reason many people turn to spas to relax and get pampered. Sometimes, spa treatment leaves us so rejuvenated, that we feel that we can face the whole world after the treatment.

A visit to a spa is a wonderful experience. It completely relaxes you with the various treatments it has for every inch of your body. There is a large choice of treatments available in a spa. You have to go there and choose what treatment you want to indulge in, according to your needs and necessities and thus plan your own spa routine. The different treatments available in a spa are usually different types of massages, mud baths, facials, steam rooms, saunas, manicures and various other techniques. The choice is yours.

Most of the spas are parts of an entire health resort. So a visit to these resorts let you have some physical activities like swimming, tennis and golf, while getting pampered in the spa if and whenever required. Making a trip to a health resort with a spa gives you a holiday worth spending in, long away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

However, the spa retreat may prove to be rather expensive if you intend to indulge in each and every treatment they provide. It may not be possible for everyone to spend that much cash in all the treatments that the spas provide. Different spas have different rates for different therapies. So it is up to you to decide whether to spend a day or a month in a spa; it all depends on your pocket and your time.

When going to a spa, it is better to wear comfortable and casual clothing. There are lockers in the spa that will be allocated to you to keep your clothes and personal belongings. If you have any jewelry or financial security needed, it is better to hand it over to the reception of the spa for safe keeping. Most of the spas have communal pools or steam rooms. If there is no mention of the attire requirements for these rooms, it is better to ask. Some spas require that you war your own swimming costume while others supply wraps or shorts. So if you are to wear your own swimming costume, you will have to bring it along with you on your visit to the spa.

Most of the spas also have a public wet area wherein you will have to arrive half an hour before your appointment to relax or enjoy a swim or steam before taking your treatments. However, like in all swimming pools, it is required that you take a shower before using these public areas! If you are worried about your modesty, don’t worry, your modesty is considered at all times. Some of the spas tell you to bring an extra set of undergarments to be worn during the treatment, while others supply disposable underwear. There are also some spas that are adept in ensuring that the body is modestly covered at all times.

So the spa not only relaxes you with its treatments, it also keeps your modesty in mind when giving you your treatments!

The 5 Best Revenue Models in E-Commerce History

May 8th, 2008 by admin

There was a time, back in the 20th century, when everyone wanted
to have their own online shopping cart system. By 1997,
Amazon.com had served their millionth customer and was really
starting to impress regular folks. The internet looked like a
realistic way to do business, maybe even for small businesses.

So soon everyone wanted a shopping cart, got one ready to go,
and… nothing. They didn’t get any traffic. Then came the
website submission hounds with programs like SubmitWolf. It
worked for a time, though some submitters turned into spammers
and thus began the game of cat and mouse between spammers and
search engines.

As the number of websites grew, and around 2000 when Google, who
had partnered with RedHat and Yahoo, began to become a real
force, it was no longer enough to have a website and submit
it… at least not for small businesses online. Sure, about $66
billion dollars in in goods was sold online in1999, but mostly
by big players who already had bricks and mortar momentum. If
the new guy on the block wanted a piece of the action, he had to
get smart and stay smart.

Cue the SEO experts, a growing herd of geeks with a profusion of
theories about the directories and search engines. Some search
engine optimizers were ethical and followed the rules set by
search engines. Others practiced “black hat” SEO. The search
engines guarded closely how they rank pages but some SEO
devotees put all their energy into trying to reverse engineer
those algorithms, to discover the magic formula, and find holes,
however temporary, to exploit.

By the dawn of the 21st century, some basic “white hat” SEO
principles had solidified, and the fad had shifted from shopping
carts to informational websites. You can’t optimize something
that doesn’t have information, and the more you have the better.
Also, a lot of internet junkies prefer the purely digital and
neither had, nor wanted to have, any physical products to sell.

But digital purists need money too, so various revenue sources
have been explored - from running advertisements (clunky old
banners and the dynamic AdSense variety), to helping others sell
their goods through affiliate programs, to developing their own
digital goods, like ebooks, special reports, even programs and
web utilities. These paths have already been trailblazed, but
you still must to choose the best one for you. If you have a
product, you’ll want to use the internet to sell it. If you
don’t have one, you could develop one. If you don’t want to,
sell other people’s. If you don’t want to do that, just run ads.

Let’s forget, for the moment, that these all depend on incoming
web traffic, and just focus on the pros and cons of each revenue
source:

1. Selling physical goods requires warehousing, shipping,
returns, and heavy customer service. It’s a significant
investment of time and/or money, but this has the highest
revenue potential.

2. Just running ads is much less work, especially with if you
don’t have to deal directly with the advertisers. However, the
earnings per click are quite low, so you need a lot more traffic
to make good money. And not all informational topics are
profitable. For example, searchers for entertainment and sports
information don’t tend to click on ads or buy anything.

3. When you promote other people’s goods as an affiliate, you
sit between the last two options- it can pay better than ads and
be less hassle than hard goods. But you still have to provide
content on profitable topics, and you need to be a comfortable
and effective salesperson for the products that pay your bills.

4. Developing and selling your own digital products is at least
as much work as selling hard goods, but requires much less
overhead. You can write an ebook, turn it into a pdf, and get it
onto a website with very little money.

5. And we shouldn’t end without mentioning that you can also
sell your services online. If you write about what you do,
whether you’re a web designer, lawyer, doctor, psychologist,
carpenter, whatever, you can get web visits from prospects in
your local area and turn those people into customers.

A New World Record Bass

May 8th, 2008 by admin

A New World Record Bass

Many people go to Florida to fish for that trophy bass but did you know that 4 other states have a bigger state record than Florida? Not only that but one of the states is said to have produced a new world record.

Florida’s record bass is 17.27 pounds, but others often cite an uncertified fish of 20.125 pounds (a fisheries biologist did not physically see the fish to certify it). Leaha Trew supposely caught a new world record largemouth in California. It weighed 22 pounds, 8 ounces, beating George Perry’s 1932 record catch by 4 ounces. The problem is there was only one picture taken of it and it wasn’t certified by a biologist or an California state fish and game official.

Where is the next world record coming from? Florida, Georgia, Mississippi or Texas? More than likely it will be from California. Gregg Silks has already caught 2 bass over twenty pounds and says he has lost a world record fish of 24 pounds. Who is to argue with him since he knows what 20 pound plus bass look like? 22 of 25 of the largest bass ever recorded has come from California. The next world record bass in my opinion, is going to be from the lakes of San Diego water system.

Just look at the stats:
Dixon: 21 pounds 11 ounce bass
Jennings: 18 pounds plus
Murray: 18 pounds plus
Poway: 18 pound 2 ounce

These are just a few of the lakes, all the lakes holds monster bass. Not only that, there are big bass all over California, Leaha Trew caught her bass in Sonoma County. While I am not taking anything away from Florida, as I have lived there and seen many 10 pound plus bass taken from there, California is growing bigger bass and people are catching them.

Just check with the water district before you plan a trip as some have restrictions and are closed at certain times.

Charles E. White has fished for bass for almost 50 years. He has fished from
Florida to California and has caught more than 6,000 bass in his lifetime. His
biggest bass is 12 pounds 14 ounces.

Charles has owned two tackle stores in his lifetime and taught dozens of people to fish for bass.

He now resides in Ohio.

Craft Project

May 8th, 2008 by admin

The internet is a wonderful resource for finding ideas for craft projects. Whether you’re looking for holiday craft projects, kids craft projects or just craft projects that will give you something to do on a rainy day- the internet has ideas to get you started.

Craft projects take many shapes and varieties. You can make your own soap, create candles of different shapes, sizes and textures, create your own jewelry, make a quilt or sock puppet, design a memory album or make greeting cards to send to friends and family.

Some craft projects can be completed in a matter of minutes, and are just a fun activity to do with the kids or on your own. Other craft projects can take a day or two, a few weeks- or even longer! It all depends on the amount of work the project requires, whether paint or glue needs to dry in between stages, and how long you’re able to work on your craft projects in one sitting.

Quick Craft Projects

If you have an hour or so, you can do many different quick craft projects! If crafting gives you a release from the stress of daily life, try to fit in an hour or so a day of crafting. Here are some ideas of craft projects you can do in about an hour:

• create a scrapbook page
• greeting cards
• candles
• soap
• hair scrunchies
• paper dolls & clothing

Longer Craft Projects

If you like to work on craft projects over a long time period, you would enjoy creating more detailed crafts. When the inspiration strikes you, you can sit down to your craft projects and create- and when it’s time to stop, you can just put it away until the next time you can work on it! Here are some ideas of craft projects that you can work on long term:

• quilting
• crocheting
• complete memory albums
• wood crafts
• jewelry
• stenciling
• clay objects

Craft projects make wonderful gift items, since they are handmade and come from the heart. People love to receive craft projects as it lets them know you care about them enough to spend time on creating the item for them. You can prepare for the gift giving holidays all year by crafting and saving your craft projects to give away as gifts to family and friends.

If you run out of ideas for craft projects to work on, you can look through a magazine or surf the web. There is always something you can craft.

Warren and Karen have been involved in the internet for a number of years and run several websites. They are most interested in providing opportunities for people to connect with information relating to business, health and creativity. Check out their Craft Project blog for more information.
