Born and raised in New Jersey, Nicholas Bredimus brought software, hospitality, and airlines together and energized these trades. His career highlights include effort-saving computer programs, aircraft safety developments, and he’s even involved in designing upmarket houses. Bredimus brings remarkable drive to all these areas, too. You could have foreseen, though, that given his lineage he was sure to rise to distinction. Its lines can be followed as far back as the glory days of Rome, Bredimus’ family tree ties in with many parts of Europe. On his mother’s side, for example, he can boast Scottish and German origins. Luxembourg and England provided home to Bredimus’ father’s family, though the family came to America during the 1800s. This passionate drive kept them pushing on following their arrival in America. Nicholas, who would grow up with his six siblings, was born to a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who was employed as a practicing nurse. Nicholas went on to live in Texas for a number of years and also spent time in Reston, VA, Scottsdale, AZ and Kansas City, MO.
Nicholas has taken on respected jobs for firms throughout the airline sector - many of them huge names. Hughes Airwest, Republic Airlines, Trans World Airlines (TWA) - these firms would all at various times respectively appoint him their vp. A hard working software designer, Nicholas’ creative work with airline software is probably his best regarded contribution to the industry.
He is best known for a project for US Airways, namely his airplane maintenance computer programs that are now used by most air travel companies. He created many other systems for the hotel and airline sectors as well, among them robotic software to take and record airline reservations, used by more than fifty businesses, to say nothing of his innovative room reservation program on the PC in use in the hotel sector, first put into motion at more than 700 venues. And next he published QuikTix, an automatic, networked system for ticket sales that stands as a first.
Though it was eminently his specialty, Nicholas regularly worked on non-software fields. Responsible titles with American Airlines and American Express followed, and in the biggest move of all he set up a company of his own seventeen years ago. You ask if he is still active? Most definitely - his peerless skills are still highly ready to answer the call in spite of his leaving prior interests in the past. He’s at work now at the forefront of architecture - balancing the demands of luxury with the bleeding edge of technology and real ecological concern. It’s stunning how far drive can carry you…
