Banking Via Mobile Phone

The use of mobile phones and Smart Phone for payments is stepping up and getting more focus than ever before. Online stores, banks, tickets and lots of other tokens can now be billed for via mobile devices.

Advanced mobile phones like htc provides openings for sophisticated mobile requitals while payment via SMS for normal cell telephones likewise exists. AR for iPhone apps is a fact now and are already contained in requital applications from banks and a few online stores, primarily chains with shops online and depots in multiple metropolises.

If you are employing a regular mobile phone from Ericsson or Samsung you will demand to check the WAP settings if you want to employ your phone for micro requitals. Checking settings for 3G is easy, all you need is to provide the mobile company and phone brand and brand, then you will receive the settings via SMS.

Besides online payments via hand held devices it is also viable to make tiny loans via SMS, the concept is named budget and is widespread in both Europe and the US. Before you engage in these lesser, but smart loans you will need to make a calculation of your budget beregning to be positive you can give back the loan inside a couple of calendar months and rates of interest for fast loans are high only sometimes the offering on a new computer or stereo is so good you simply can’t say no and the saving will outbalance the interests, especially if you can pay back your loanword at the following payday.

All in all mobile phones are gaining ground over net based application programs in all spheres of transactions but net dependent banking and payment is nevertheless the most essential and employed method. No trafficker must undervalue mobile, which is starting to be huge in 2010 and the days to come.

January 4th, 2010 by admin

Maryland home inspectors have been around probably as long as houses. People would often ask someone they knew, such as a friend, parent,.or sometimes a builder, to determine the condition of the property they were planning to buy or sell.
Those days have long past. Times have changed as well as have home inspections. Primarily, the purpose of a property inspection is to identify of any major deficiencies in the condition of the home, integral or influencing peripheral parts or systems of the property. We also hold it to be true to include in our reports the points of a home which are good. As well, wel know that an educated buyer is more likely to make a better decision. That customer would be misguided if we only focused on the concerns or problems with a home. Reporting both the good and bad things of home is paramount in the decision making process.

Maryland Home Inspections, Converged Messaging Solutions, Fort Worth Home Inspector

Maryland Home inspections have most certainly been around most likely as long as houses have been. People would often ask someone they were familiar wtih, such as a friend, parent,.or sometimes a builder, to determine the condition of the house they were buying or planning to sell.
Most of the times, that judgment was based on scanty observation, with little or no understanding of what was important, and quite often someone not familiar at all with the building trades. This was during simpler times, using construction techniques that were simpler for the most part, and evaluations rendered were predictably simple.
Top of the line Converged Messaging Solutions and services are also offered by Mavenir Systems. The messaging industry in the midst of a transition from the old standard SMS messaging technologies to multi-device MMS and IP-based Instant Messaging. All mobile operators possess a compelling need to integrate the messaging core among multiple service domains and devices in order to meet these changing needs. Mavenir does this with a simple strategy to limit investments in their legacy systems and providing new revenue generating services. Mavenir’s IP SMSC is a highly scalable IP SMSC that drastically reduces the cost structure to deliver old SMS at a savings of greater than five times that of the competition Instant Messaging and Instant Presence offers a very highly integrated Instant Messaging and IMS Presence server that reduces cost of becoming involved in,and accelerates enhanced service deployment.
Those days have long past. Times have changed and as a result, so have ome inspections. Fundamentally, the main focus of a home inspection is to identify to the buyer of any major defects in the condition of the home, systems, integral or influencing peripheral parts of the property. We also believe it is equally important to include in our reports the points of a home which are good. We know that an educated consumer is more likely to make a good decision. The buyer would be misguided if we only focused on the problems and concerns with a home. Including in our report both the good and the bad is of utmost importance in the final decision making process.
That is the reason why when your Fort Worth home inspector from TexInspec is finished, you you will be furnished with a free 90 day warranty for termites and carpenter ants, an instant report printed on site which will include a summary page of necessisary repairs as well as a Color Photo Journal of the Home, plus a copy is e-mailed to you real estate agent immediately from the inspection site
“Coping With the Joys of Home Ownership,” which was written for local homebuyers to help with understanding thier new homes is also provided.
You need a Dallas home inspectors service which is knowledgeable about Dallas homes but who also makes sure you are informed properly to assist you in making the best decision possible.

Musicians Discuss Ways to Tackle Online Piracy

October 13th, 2009 by admin

Renowned singer Lily Allen and 100 other British musicians assembled recently to discuss the best way to deal with illegal downloading of music. The 3-hour discussion involved artists like George Michael, Radiohead guitarist Ed O’ Brien, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and Annie Lennox.

An earlier public dispute over the issue had resulted in negative publicity by the media. However, this time the general conclusion arrived at was throttling of bandwidth of offenders, which the musicians considered to be a better alternative to discourage unlawful downloading, rather than suspension of internet accounts.

It has been agreed that sending two warning letters to file-sharers before enforcing any restriction should be the norm. This echoes Business Secretary Lord Mandelson’s suggestion of temporary suspension of connection as a “last resort”, when all other efforts to restrain illegal file sharers fail.

Because the internet has become a basic need for most of us, and with the advent of the mobile broadband and the free laptop, it can be accessed whenever and wherever a person wants; many now consider broadband access as a ‘utility’. This method of throttling intends to make file sharing impractical, while allowing basic web and email access to remain functional.

Meanwhile, singer Lily Allen had earlier refused to attend the meeting, after her personal blog carrying her avid views on internet piracy received a lot of adverse criticism. Nevertheless, she appeared at the venue and spoke quite a number of times during the discussion. However, she declined to comment on the matter.

Radiation from the Ericsson AH618 Mobile Phone

September 12th, 2009 by admin

As much as 60% of the radiation emanating from a mobile ‘phone is absorbed by the head of the user..

Recent studies depict serious bio-effects at exposure levels that are well below the current standard, which many ‘phone can’t even meet. It is said that ‘phone manufacturers could make ‘phones that emit less radiation, but won’t because of the effect on profits. Lloyd’s of London recently declined to underwrite cellular ‘phone manufacturers against future claims of microwave health damage.

A number of independent tests found four times as much radiation coming from the earpiece as from the antenna. Radiation also emanates from the keypad and mouthpiece. Four times as much radiation goes into the user’s head than is used to transmit a signal to a cellular tower.

Radiation results from poorly matched transmitters, feeds and antennae. It’s also dependent on the amount of shielding in the ‘phone.

The FCC is more concerned with interference with other devices than with “near-field” activity, i.e. what occurs near the ‘phone.

Mobile ‘phones in Washington vary wildly in the amount of radiation they produce. The manufacturer of the lowest emitting ‘phone was recently barred from exploiting the fact.

In a comparison of five mobiles, the Ericsson AH618 emitted the second-smallest amount, 1.34-1.65 watts per kilogram. The lowest was the Motorola StarTac, 0.43 watts/kg, and the highest the Nokia 6160, 1.84-2.16 watts/kg. Another two surveys again put the Ericsson AH618 in the middle.

Research at the University of Washington, not involving Ericsson AH618 mobile phones, found sterility in rats after five generations at 1/500th the US exposure standard.

Testing is complicated by the fact that exposure differs according to the angle at which the ‘phone is held.

Mobile phone radiation has caused much consternation and promises even more of the same in the future.

VoIP Phone Service: What Is It And How Does It Work?

July 28th, 2009 by admin

VoIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol and is the process of placing a voice call over the Internet using Internet Protocol (IP) Packets. Packets are bits of data that are passed, or routed, from node to node, until they are received by the final digital device (node). The final Node then turns the packet of information back into an analog voice stream that can be heard over a regular telephone.

While both types of phone service, VoIP and Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS), rely on switching the telephone call through the quickest connection. The POTS telephone call creates a static, dedicated connection, traveling over the same exact route in both directions. This connection stays open until the callers break the connection. The packet switched phone call over the VoIP system actually contains the complete destination address of where it is going, and each packet can take different routes and different amounts of time to reach their destination.

To make a VoIP telephone call, the user has to have two things, a high-speed Internet connection (256kbs or higher) and a broadband telephone adapter. The telephone adapter plugs into the users existing system, either directly into the modem, or into a router. Many of the new broadband phone adapters have a router built into them, so that the user just plugs it directly into their high-speed modem and they can then plug their computer or router into the broadband phone adapter.

In most situations, it is best to have the router built into the broadband phone adaptor, so that if the user is making a telephone call and on the computer at the same time, the router knows to give most of the bandwidth to the phone call, thereby reduce lag time and the frequency of dropped calls. While the new VoIP phone systems are a hundred times better that the ones seen just two or three years ago, they can still drop calls when confronted with a slowdown in the network between the caller and the person receiving the call.

So, while the new VoIP can save the average user a lot of money, VoIP telephone service is still only practical for home and small business users, since the stability isn’t there that is required by large business ventures. Anyone who is thinking of switching to VoIP should remember that anytime their Internet service goes down, so does their phone service.

For more information on VoIP phone service is available at http://computer.howstuffworks.com/ip-telephony.htm and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VOIP_Phones.

GPS versus Galileo

July 28th, 2009 by admin

For most of us, GPS has revolutionized the navigation world in a way that few could have predicted. The ability for the average civilian to buy a relatively cheap, handheld, battery operated GPS and have the ability to interface with satellites around the world, providing the user with his or her location and altitude has been a god send. The applications of this technology have been equally impressive. In fact most of us have become so reliant on the technology that we would have serious difficulty operating in a world without GPS navigation. Even though GPS continues to provide an invaluable infrastructure for global navigation, there is an evolution of sorts taking place in the world of GPS navigation.

Europe has delved into the world of GPS navigation that had so far been the domain of the United States. Galileo is the project name for the European satellite navigation system that unlike the United States’ program, is designed specifically for commercial and civilian use. Galileo relies on a network of 30 satellites and ground stations provide the means for satellite radio navigation. The Galileo system is aimed at complementing the current GPS system and enabling a higher degree of navigational accuracy for the general population. Its creators claim that Galileo will enhance accuracy to within one meter, opening the door to a raft of new possibilities for GPS says www.buyingagps.com The new system will require a new receiver although the Europeans say that the device will be small and cheap as it is squarely aimed at the consumer market.

Although the technology is clearly just a variant of an existing model, the future looks promising for Galileo. Already there is talk of applications for the blind, law-enforcement, customs services, the justice system, transport and logistics and also search and rescue. If nothing else this technology may just make it that bit easier for die hard fishermen who have been such stalwarts of GPS!

Soon You Won’t Pay Anything For Phone Calls

June 5th, 2009 by admin

A collection of recent articles describes how Wi-Fi internet is going to bring with it many benefits, but it will first have to overcome the opposition of telephone and cable companies.

Free Phone Calls

According to eBay’s chief executive Meg Whitman, within a few years, customers may be able to make telephone calls for free, with no per-minute charges, while the carriers make money on advertising or transaction fees.

This statement was made during a discussion of eBay’s purchase of web-based communications phenomenon Skype Technologies. The company is hoping that by combining electronic markets, online payment systems, and Web-based communications, it can become a leader in all three areas.

Skype allows members to make free Web-based calls to each other, and has more than 57 million registered users. EBay believes Skype’s growth will drive down voice communications costs down to nothing over the next three to six years.

Rural Wi-Fi

One major hurdle in the growth of Voice Over Internet telephony, however, is the inconsistency of Wi-Fi availability. So it’s interesting to note that a desolate area in Oregon has become the world’s largest Wi-Fi hotspot, a region that stretches over 700 square miles.

Wireless projects in more metropolitan areas have been stymied by telephone and cable TV companies, which have spent large amounts of money lobbying state and local governments to pass bills aimed at discouraging competition.

In the country, however, large corporations see little profit potential, which enabled wireless entrepreneur Fred Ziari to build a $5 million wireless network, at his own expense, without restrictions. Already, the network has revolutionized the way business, emergency planning, and police work are conducted, along with many other businesses and services.

Ziari’s network is free to the public; he is recouping his investment through contracts with city and county agencies and larger businesses.

Even as Wi-Fi hotspots continue to increase, with more than 70,000 currently registered around the world, only a very few major cities have complete Wi-Fi access across their entire area.

Different Approaches to Wi-Fi for Cities

However, a handful of municipalities across the nation using a variety of approaches to introduce full-coverage Wi-Fi, in spite of the opposition from the telephone and cable companies. Rio Rancho, New Mexico, has a solution employing a network of 400 access points, while Manassas, Virginia, is employing a broadband over power line (PBL) approach.

Madison, Wisconsin is getting their citywide Wi-Fi, with the help of a firm supplying real-time automated meter reading for the utilities industry. It will be installed at no cost to the city, as the providers have secured initial funding from service agreements from ISPs.

Even in the face of corporate opposition, municipal wireless networks are expected to grow by 128 percent annually by 2007.

Wired News October 16, 2005Yahoo News October 20, 2005TechWeb.com October 21, 2005

Dr. Mercola’s Comment:You had to know something was up when with the future of your phone service when eBay was willing to pay $4 billion to purchase the Voice over IP company Skype a few weeks ago.

Over the past ten years SBC (new name AT & T) and Verizon have spent tens of billions of dollars building telecom empires so they could dominate the industry and, without question, currently dominate the industry as together they control nearly two-thirds of all residential phone lines in the US.

But the Internet WILL change all that and these companies are not prepared for it. They will lose 40% of their land line residential customers over the next ten years. This week’s NY Times also reported how the smaller Internet providers, like Earthlink, are battling these giants.

It is becoming increasingly clear that your connection to the Internet will replace your phone service. The key will not to have a cell phone or a land line but an Internet connection. Because if you have an Internet connection, you will be able to get your phone service for free.

Now I am not talking about connecting your desktop or notebook into an Ethernet cable, but using a wireless connection, in many ways not very different than your cell phone. Currently the wireless internet is restricted to WiFi which is only good for hundreds of feet. However, that will soon change when WiFi is morphed into WiMax and your connection will be good for 25 miles or more.

You can start to see the trend. Google has offered tomake San Francisco wireless last month, and now Philadelphia and as the article aboverural Oregonare close behind.

Lobbying from cable and phone providers have stymied many projects in major urban markets across the country. Philadelphia’s plan to build a citywide WiFi network sparked state legislators (prompted by phone and cable companies) to limit every other town in the state to do the same thing!

The biggest obstacle to creating these cheap wireless networks isn’t the building of them, according to experts. According to the Wi-Fi Alliance, it’s more a matter of “who’s-going-to-get-a-piece-of-the-action?”.

What Does All This Mean For YOU?

One thing you can be certain of is change. So please be careful about signing any long term contracts with your phone company as it with virtually near certainty I can assure you that the future of your phone service will not resemble anything you have seen in the past and, best of all, odds are very high it will be free.

Next week I will be writing about the cell phone carrier that has just signed a long-term contract with the US Defense Department that seems to secure their position as the leading cell phone carrier in the US.
